The National Scout Jamboree 2026 is a historic gathering of Scouts from Bhutan and across 13 countries. It celebrates leadership, service, and friendship through adventure, cultural exchange, and community activities in the heart of Bhutan.
Scouts aged 14 to 17 years and adult leaders below 50 years (as of 25 May 2026) are eligible to participate. Both national and international Scout groups are welcome based on official invitation extended by the Bhutan Scouts Association.
Each participant is required to make a token contribution of USD 300.00. Payment for the token contribution may be made either individually or as a group. A secure payment link will be generated with the email id provided in the registration. Once the application is verified, a confirmation mail with secure payment link will be shared to the respective applicant or NSO. Please note that this payment is strictly non‑refundable.
The token contribution will cover hotel accommodation, meals, excursion trips, event souvenirs, outdoor activities, airport transfers, entry fees, and applicable bank charges.
Since all national participants are registered members of the Bhutan Scouts Association, the registration for the selected participant is free. However, the registration needs to be facilitated by the Dzongkhag/Thromde Education Office.
Except for Indian nationals, all international participants must pay a visa fee of Nu. 5,000. Organizers will facilitate the initial payment, which participants will then reimburse upon their arrival.
All international participants must upload a visa application form and consent form for minors (Under 18 unaccompanied by parents) while registering. The Passport copy must be valid for six months from the intended date of arrival to Bhutan and the passport copy should be in JPEG or PNG format.
A recent passport photograph(not more than six months old) is required. The size of the photograph should be 45 mm x 35 mm with your facial image taking up 70% to 80% of the photograph, taken with a white background and without borders.
During late May 2026 in Paro, participants can expect mild daytime temperatures averaging 17–19 °C (63–66 °F) and cooler nights around 7–10 °C (44–50 °F), with frequent showers and occasional heavy rainfall. While the weather will be pleasant, rain gear such as waterproof jackets, umbrellas, and sturdy shoes is strongly recommended. Since evenings and early mornings can feel chilly, participants should bring warm layers like sweaters or light jackets, along with light breathable clothing for daytime, comfortable outdoor gear for excursions and camping, and adequate rain protection to ensure comfort and readiness throughout the Jamboree.
The Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) of USD 100 per person per day for international participants and Nu. 1200 for Indian nationality will be waived off for the duration of the Jamboree from 25 to 31 May, 2026. Any expenses for additional days, including the SDF shall be borne by the individual participants.
