The National Scout Jamboree 2026 was inaugurated by Her Excellency Sherig Lyonpo Yeezang De Thapa at the National Scout Centre in Paro. The opening ceremony marked the beginning of a vibrant gathering celebrating the spirit of Scouting, unity, and leadership. During her address, Her Excellency emphasized that leadership today is not about authority, but about empathy, responsibility, courage, and the willingness to serve others.
Distinguished guests, Scout leaders, and participants also attended the opening ceremony of the National Scout Jamboree, setting the tone for an inspiring event dedicated to His Majesty the Fourth King of Bhutan.
Bringing together more than 500 Scout participants, the Jamboree has attracted both national and international Scouts, creating a diverse and dynamic environment. The theme of the Jamboree, “Leadership, Service, and Mindfulness Inspired by Bhutan’s Vision for Youth,” reflects the enduring legacy of His Majesty the Fourth King and serves as a guiding light for all activities and interactions throughout the gathering.
The five-day program promises a rich blend of cultural exchange, outdoor challenges, and skill-building activities. With participants from across Bhutan, the Jamboree stands as a beacon of friendship and responsibility, strengthening bonds among Scouts while promoting the values of courage, resilience, and innovation. The event not only celebrates Scouting but also reinforces its role in shaping empowered and dedicated youth for the future, while paying tribute to the extraordinary leadership and vision of His Majesty the Fourth King.
