Interacting with students, Lyonpo shared heartfelt words of encouragement, reminding them that education is not only about academic achievement but also about becoming responsible, compassionate and resilient individuals guided by strong moral values and discipline.

Expressing concern over issues such as suicide, substance abuse and teenage pregnancy among young people, Lyonpo encouraged students to remain emotionally strong, make responsible choices and never hesitate to seek help during difficult times.

Lyonpo also highlighted the opportunities offered through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), encouraging students to appreciate the dignity and value of different career pathways

Addressing teachers, Lyonpo acknowledged their unwavering dedication to nurturing the lives and futures of Bhutanese children. Recognising their crucial role and the challenges they face, she reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting their professional growth and well-being.

She shared updates on the Ministry’s key initiatives, including teacher professional development, curriculum reforms, teaching incentives, school infrastructure and digitalisation aimed at creating better teaching and learning environments. Highlighting the teacher immersion program, she assured them that every teacher in the country would be provided with opportunities to enhance their professional skills and competencies.

From remote primary schools such as Ketokha PS to larger secondary schools, the visit offered a valuable opportunity for Lyonpo to connect with school communities, listen to their concerns and reaffirm the Ministryโ€™s commitment to strengthening education across the country.
