The Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) held a meeting with the Deputy Director General of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Country Director of BHRM, and the project team to review the ongoing Pathways for Emerging Skills and Jobs Project (PESJP) and discuss the pipeline Skills Ecosystem Enhancement for Druk (SEED) project.
The Honβble Secretary expressed heartfelt gratitude to ADB for its generous support to the Royal Government of Bhutan and particularly to the Ministry. This partnership is enabling Bhutan to advance toward the national vision of achieving the 10X GDP target and enhancing youth employability through strengthened skills development.
Discussions also focused on the upcoming SEED project, which will prioritise building a robust skills ecosystem to meet the demands of the 21stβcentury workforce and address local needs in the Green, Mechanical, and Care sectors and skills required for GMC.
The ADB team commended the Ministry for the optimum utilisation of funds, maximising benefits across multiple sectors. They particularly appreciated the achievements under the PESJP project, where Bhutanese youth have already gained significant opportunities through targeted skills programs.
