The Bhutan Scouts Association today launched a commemorative film capturing the full journey of the National Scout Jamboree 2026, as the event concluded with its closing ceremony held on 30 May 2026 at the National Scouts Centre in Paro. Held from 26 to 30 May 2026, the jamboree brought together 618 participants from all 20 Dzongkhags and four Thromdes, along with international participants from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and other members of the global scouting movement, including officials from the World Organization of the Scout Movement, the Asia-Pacific Region (APR), World Scout Bureau. It also marked the first time Bhutan hosted a national jamboree with international participation, making it a significant milestone in the history of Bhutan Scouting.
Organized under the theme “Leadership, Service and Mindfulness Inspired by Bhutan’s Vision for Youth,” the programme was dedicated to the 70th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo. Over five days, participants engaged in leadership activities, community service, outdoor learning, cultural programmes, excursion trips, and team-based challenges that encouraged cooperation, resilience, and personal growth. The film presents a complete recap of the jamboree, bringing together key moments from across the programme. It reflects the shared experiences of participants, from daily camp life and activities to cultural exchanges and moments of reflection. It also highlights the friendships fostered, the effort invested, and the sense of unity that defined the event throughout its duration.
As the jamboree concludes, the Bhutan Scouts Association extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to its success. This includes scouts and participants from Bhutan and abroad, contingent leaders, teachers, volunteers, facilitators, officials, and delegates who supported the programme in various capacities. The Association also acknowledges the support of Dzongkhag and Thromde administrations, schools, colleges, and partner institutions, as well as the many individuals who worked behind the scenes in logistics, coordination, hospitality, safety, and event management. Special appreciation is extended to the creative and media teams for documenting the event and shaping it into a film that preserves its journey and impact.
The National Scout Jamboree 2026 stands as a reminder of what can be achieved when young people are given the opportunity to learn, serve, and connect. The film serves as a lasting record of that experience and the collective effort that made it possible. The Bhutan Scouts Association would like to thank all who were part of this memorable journey and looks forward to strengthening and expanding the scouting movement across the country.
