Mr. Gaurav Ray, the new United Nations Resident Coordinator in Bhutan paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Lyonpo on January 12.
During the meeting, Lyonpo expressed appreciation for the United Nations’ crucial support, particularly in enhancing WASH facilities in schools, promoting youth innovation through initiatives such as the UPSHIFT programme, expanding digital connectivity and strengthening comprehensive sexuality education, among others. The discussions also covered potential areas for future collaboration.
The Resident Coordinator reaffirmed the United Nations’ commitment to continued partnership in advancing the national education vision.
