Three Scout students and a Scout Leader from the Ticket Life Project Schools participated in the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree held at Kainomaya Scout Camp in the Philippines from December 14-21.
The Bhutanese contingent included Tashi Dorji, Unit leader and Nuengyel Yeshi Wangchuk, Scouts from Tsimalakha MSS in Chhukha; Sonam Dolkar Lhaden, Scouts from Chagangkha MSS in Thimphu and Yewong Lhaki Wangmo, Scouts from Genekha PS in Thimphu.
The Jamboree brought together Scouts from across the Asia-Pacific Region, providing them with the opportunity to broaden their horizons and deepen their understanding of cultural diversity. It also provided a valuable platform for interaction, mutual learning from each other and forging friendships beyond borders.
During the event, Bhutan was honoured with a title of โCLEANEST CONTIGENTโ among all participating countries. This prestigious recognition was accorded in appreciation of the contingentโs exemplary discipline, strong environmental responsibility, and consistent commitment to cleanliness throughout the Jamboree.
On this proud occasion, the Bhutan Scouts Association and the Scouts and Sports Division, under the Department of Education Programmes, extend our heartiest Tashi Delek to the team for this remarkable achievement and for bringing honour to the country.
