The Scouts and Sports Division under the Department of Education Programmes, hosted an official visit of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) contingents from India and Nepal as part of the annual Youth Exchange Program.
The delegation consisted of 5 officials and 12 cadets from India and 4 officials and 6 cadets from Nepal.
To mark the auspicious occasion of the 118th National Day, celebrated at the historic Wangdicholing Palace in Bumthang, the delegation joined the national festivities on December 17.
The visit highlighted the spirit of friendship and cooperation among youth from the region, fostering cultural exchange and strengthening ties between Bhutan, India and Nepal. The participation of the NCC contingents in the National Day celebration reflects the shared commitment to nurturing leadership, discipline, and camaraderie among young people.
The Honโble Secretary, Ministry of Education and Skills Development expressed appreciation to the visiting delegations for their presence and reaffirmed its dedication to continuing such meaningful youth exchange programs in the years ahead.
