𝐒𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐬 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲

A total of seventy School Sports Instructors (SSIs) completed the six-week pre-service training which was held from November 3 to December 15, organised by the Department of Education Programmes.

The trained SSIs will formally assume their duties in their respective schools from 1st January 2026. With their placement, children in schools will have greater opportunities to enjoy sports and physical activities, lead active and healthy lifestyles and develop holistically, contributing positively to their overall wellbeing and educational outcomes.

The Department extends its sincere appreciation to the Bhutan Olympic Committee, National Sports Federations and other partner agencies for their valuable collaboration and unwavering support throughout the training program. The training was conducted with financial support from RGoB.

The Hon’ble Lyonpo graced the closing ceremony today and awarded certificates to the SSIs.
