A three-member delegation from the Republic of Korea, led by the Director of the Digital Transformation of Education Division, Ministry of Education, met with the Honβble Lyonpo yesterday.
The delegation is in the country to review the outcomes of the ICT-integrated pilot lab classrooms established in two schools in Thimphu under a bilateral collaboration between the Education Ministries of Bhutan and the Republic of Korea. The initiative was funded under the five-year βInnovative ICT-integrated Pilot Classroomβ programme (2021-2025).
Welcoming the delegation, Lyonpo acknowledged their crucial support in launching the digital classrooms, which have significantly strengthened teachersβ digital competencies and enriched studentsβ learning experiences. She emphasised the important role of ICT-enabled classrooms in preparing Bhutanese youth to thrive in a technology-driven world.
During the discussion, the delegation assured that they would explore possible areas for future cooperation in digital education.
As part of their visit, the delegation will tour Dechenchholing Higher Secondary School and Loselling Middle Secondary School today, where they will interact with teachers and students to understand the impact of ICT-integrated classrooms and gather feedback on successes and challenges.
