The Summer Children and Youth Engagement Programme began yesterday at the Thimphu Youth-Friendly Integrated Service Center. The week-long initiative running until July 9 has drawn 61 enthusiastic participants. The program is designed to provide children and youth with a platform for meaningful engagement, creativity and learning during the summer break.

Facilitated by the Harmony Youth Volunteers (https://www.facebook.com/HYVol), the program covers a variety of interactive activities including reading, chess, dance, art and craft, music and coding that promote personal development, teamwork and values. The youth volunteers played a key role in planning and are leading the sessions helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.

The opening day saw active involvement and energy from both the participants and facilitators setting a strong tone for the rest of the week.
