A week-long Thai Culinary Training Program is being held from 9th to 13th June 2025 at the Royal Institute for Tourism and Hospitality (RITH), Thimphu, in collaboration with Bangkok University, Thailand.
The training is designed to provide hands-on culinary experience and foster cross-cultural learning, with a focus on authentic Thai cuisine. The program brings together three expert culinary trainers and four student representatives from Bangkok University, along with 16 participants from local hotels and restaurants, as well as faculty members and students from RITH.
This initiative is part of the ongoing collaboration under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) and Bangkok University in December 2024. The MoU aims to promote skills development through joint training programs and workshops to enhance the quality of service in Bhutan’s growing tourism and hospitality industry.
The program will culminate in a Thai Food Festival on 14th and 15th June 2025 at the RITH campus.
