The Mitsubishi Asian Childrenโ€™s Enikki Festa is a biennial event organised by the National Federation of UNESCO Associations in Japan (NFUAJ). The term Enikki refers to an illustrated diary that captures daily experiences and thoughts through drawings and short essays.

This year’s theme was โ€œHere is my life,โ€ encouraging children aged 6 to 12 years old to create A4-sized illustrated diaries depicting aspects of their daily lives they wish to share with friends across Asia. These include elements such as nature and climate, favourite games, family and friends, school activities and local festivals or traditional performances.

In Bhutan, the Bhutan National Commission for UNESCO under the Ministry of Education and Skills Development has served as the local partner in organising the event collaborating with education offices across various Dzongkhags.

We look forward to even greater participation from children across Bhutan in the upcoming 17th Edition of the Enikki Festa.
