Thirty-two school leaders including DEO/TEO, Principals, Vice-Principals and Offtg. Principals completed the 10th batch of the School Leaders Development Programme held from April 20 to 26 at the Royal Institute for Governance and Strategic Studies (RIGSS).
The programme was designed to strengthen the instructional leadership capabilities of school leaders by equipping them with key skills to build high-performing teams, cultivate positive school cultures and address emerging challenges in the education sector.
The course included sessions on leadership principles, effective communication, AI, mentoring and coaching, organisational culture, well-being and case studies among others.
On the final day, the Director of the Department of School Education delivered a session on Leadership in Education while the Vice Chancellor of the Royal University of Bhutan conducted a session on Professionalism.
Jointly organised by the Department of School Education and RIGSS, the programme aims to inspire school leaders to drive meaningful change and develop 21st-century skills among students and educators by enhancing leadership competencies.
The 11th batch of the programme is scheduled to take place from May 25 to 31 and will include a new cohort of DEO/TEO, Principals, Vice-Principals and Offtg. Principals.
