Mr. Samir Sudhir Wanmali, Regional Director for Asia-Pacific of the World Food Programme (WFP) Regional Bureau in Bangkok, visited Bhutan and engaged in a high-level discussion with the Minister and Secretary of Education and Skills Development (MoESD). The meeting focused on strengthening the existing cooperation between the WFP and MoESD in the areas of school feeding and school agriculture programmes.

During the discussions, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to addressing nutrition and food security in schools through infrastructure development, capacity building, and improved local supply chains. The WFP and MoESD highlighted their successful partnership, which serves as a model for regional collaboration in improving nutrition for school children.
