DEP receives 100 sets of Rollpa Board Games

The Department of Education Programmes (DEP) under the Ministry is pleased to announce the receipt of 100 sets of Rollpa Board Games from Ms. Pema Tamang sponsored by Vajra Builders Pvt. Ltd., Bhutan National Bank and Bhutan Telecom. The equipment was officially handed over to the Director of DEP on 18th November 2024 for distribution to remote schools across the country.

Rollpa, a board game organically designed by Bhutanese creators based on the principles of Gross National Happiness (GNH) will greatly assist children in understanding the GNH framework and its nine domains while applying these values in their education and daily lives.

This initiative also aligns with DEP’s ongoing efforts to diversify sports and physical activities including creative games in schools, ensuring inclusion, engagement and mass participation while helping to keep children meaningfully engaged.
