798 Nachung Scouts of Class IV and VI from all Primary Schools under Thimphu Thromde participates in the Mobile Scouts Camp

The Scouts Unit under the Scouts & Sports Division of the Department of Education Programmes successfully trained 798 Nachung Scouts including 397 boys and 401 girls from Classes IV and VI across all primary schools in Thimphu Thromde helping them complete the requirements for the Nachung Scout membership for Dawa and Nima Badges. This achievement was facilitated by the Mobile Scouts Camp initiative which brought Scouting activities directly to the students ensuring maximum participation without extensive travel.

The Mobile Scouts Camp was conducted on Saturday at different locations from April till June 2024. This approach provided a comprehensive accessible Scouting experience fostering the principles of duty, responsibility and community service. Fifty Leadership Scouts and Senior Scouts facilitated the camp, guiding and mentoring the young Scouts through various activities designed to enhance their skills, knowledge and values. This initiative reflects the Scouts Unit’s commitment to the holistic development of young people, ensuring they gain valuable experience and grow within the Scouting community.
