Library management training for Youth Centre staff

Considering the advancement in technology, the library management of the Youth Centers will soon be managed digitally.

The library is an integral part of Youth Centre services. In order to professionalize the management and delivery of this service for young people, an open-source library software called Koha is being introduced in the Youth Centres.

Organized by Programme and Youth Coordination Division of the Department of Education Programmes in collaboration with National Library of Bhutan, a five-day library management training for Youth Centre staff has begun in Thimphu today.

Thirteen focal officials from 13 Youth Centres are attending the training. They will learn how to use the system to manage the library in a systematic manner thereby improving the overall library experience for young users.
