Digital Literacy Training for Adolescent Girl kick starts
The digital literacy training of trainers for adolescent girls has begun yesterday in Thimphu. It is being coordinated by the Programme Coordination Division of the Department of Education Programmes.
Facilitated by Women in STEM, a volunteer group that focuses on women empowerment through digital literacy, the main objective of the training is to educate young girls on digital skills and cyber security so that they can stay safe in the digital world. Participants will be involved in the rollout of the programme in remote communities in Bhutan.
A three-day training is being conducted in two cohorts, the 1st cohort is from 8-10 May and the 2nd cohort will be from 11-13 May 2023. The rollout will be completed before the end of May 31.
