Development of M&E Framework for National Youth Action Plan
The Youth Center Division of the Department of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education is conducting a 2-day workshop to develop the M&E Framework for the implementation of the National Youth Policy and the National Youth Action Plan. The M&E Framework is expected to serve as a tool for the lead agency to monitor the implementation of the National Youth Action Plan. Since the National Youth Action Plan has developed to ensure that the National Youth Policy is implemented effectively, it is felt important to have such an M&E framework in place to facilitate timely monitoring of the activities planned in the action plan.
During the past two days, the participants reviewed the draft National Youth Action Plan and the revised National Youth Policy, and deliberated on how to design the M&E framework to monitor and evaluate the planned activities. After rigorous deliberations and discussions, a broad M&E Framework has now been developed based on different thematic areas identified in the Policy. This framework would be validated with further consultations with relevant agencies and stakeholders. Once finalized, it would be an integral part of the National Youth Action Plan to make sure that it is implemented as planned. The workshop shall end today.
The Planning Officers from MoLHR, MoE, MoHCA and relevant officials from UNICEF and UNFPA took part in the workshop. This activity is supported by UNICEF.
