Educare Skill, the country’s first online learning platform launched
Educare Skill, the first online learning platform in the country was launched on February 21 in Thimphu to transform daily learning into a joyful experience for our growing children and youth.
The innovative platform boasts a diverse array of educational resources including read-aloud videos, animated series, nursery rhymes and interactive gamified learning, all presented in Dzongkha contributing to the long-term promotion of our national language.
There are three captivating animated series including Dr. Carrot, Tales of Four Friends and Adventures of the Monkey King. Each series comprising 12 episodes seamlessly blends entertainment with educational content.
The platform also features 24 animated episodes of nursery rhymes with Nono and Daza as lead characters offering immersive learning experiences for young minds.
As a part of the fun element, one can explore CHEY CHEY, the interactive gamified learning experience designed to engage children in foundational concepts like alphabets, colour and shapes in an exciting way.
An initiative of iBEST company, Educare Skill is a testament to the commitment of Bhutanese talents. With over 100 professionals and youth dedicating more than a year’s effort, the platform ensures quality educational content for children and interested learners complementing school-based learning.
According to a spokesperson, the platform has plans to expand its offerings in the future with additional features including professional, vocational and skill-oriented courses aimed at enhancing knowledge and competencies.
Educare Skill will be accessible as a user-friendly mobile app and website from March catering services to Android and iOS users. Access to this enriching platform comes with a minimal monthly subscription charge of Nu.299.
The Hon’ble Lyonpo for Education and Skills Development, Dimple Thapa launched the platform. Also present were the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Lekey Dorji; the Hon’ble Minister of Industry, Commerce and Employment, Namgyal Dorji; the Hon’ble Minister of Home Affairs, Tshering; the Eminent Member, Dasho Kesang Chuki Dorjee and Ms. Andrea James, the UNICEF Bhutan Representative along with other distinguished guests.
Educare Skill was launched coinciding with the 44th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The King.
