A total of 125 Scouts from 20 Dzongkhags and 4 Thromdes are currently undergoing the 13th Leadership Training at MTC, Tencholing, Wangdue. 62 boys and 63 girls currently studying in class X are participating in a Three Weeks intensive Leadership Training from 23rd December, 2019 to 11 January, 2020. The chief guest of the opening ceremony of the 13th batch Scout Leadership Training was graced by Hon’ble Tengye Lyonpo Lok Nath Sharma on 23rd December, 2019. The Leadership Training began in 2013 under the Royal Command of His Majesty The King. The training has been organized to instill values of Tha-damtse and Lay-bju-drey, love, respect, loyalty, patriotism and unity. The training shall also equip them to acquire leadership skills, life skills and prepare for disasters such as rescue operation, fire fighting techniques, First aid, forest fire and its consequences and River rescue. The Leadership Training offers opportunity for Scouts to develop emotional, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible global citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. Fun and challenging events such as white water rafting, paint ball games, survival classes, games and cultural compititons are also being conducted. There will be a total of 1591 Scouts trained in leadership training programme after the completion of the 13th batch.
