Ministry and BOC join hands to boost Youth Sports and Physical Education in Bhutan
In honour of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, the visionary father of modern sports in Bhutan, the Ministry of Education and Skills Development and the Bhutan Olympic Committee (BOC) signed a memorandum of understanding today to reinforce the promotion and development of physical education and youth sports in Bhutan.
The partnership outlines a shared goal to foster a robust grassroots sports culture that contributes to the holistic development of children while also encouraging sports excellence across Bhutan. Through the agreement, the Ministry and BOC aims to boost youth engagement in sports creating opportunities for participation and the growth of young talent from the grassroots level.
During the signing ceremony, the Hon’ble Education and Skills Development Secretary reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to the holistic growth of Bhutanese youth through sports and physical education. He expressed that this partnership would create opportunities for students to grow not only in physical health but also in character equipping them with essential skills to serve as future leaders of the nation.
