Review meeting for GPE project
The Local Education Group held a meeting yesterday to review the Partnership Compact for ECCD and the progress of Global Partnership for Education (GPE) initiatives led by the Ministry. It was chaired by the Director General, DSE and the Deputy Representative of UNICEF-Bhutan.
The GPE Country Lead for Bhutan, Mr. Javier Luquewho is in the country to monitor project progress also attended the meeting. Other participants included representtaives from Save the Children, the Royal University of Bhutan, the Ministry of Finance and officials from the Ministry.
The meeting was part of a sector review meeting for GPE project held on October 28-29.
The Local Education Group held a meeting on October 28-29 to review the Partnership Compact for ECCD and update the progress of GPE projects under the Ministry.
The meeting was chaired by the Director General, DSE and the Deputy Representative of UNICEF. The GPE Country Lead for Bhutan, Mr. Javier Luque, who is in the country to monitor the project progress also attended the meeting. Other participants included representatives from Save the Children, RUB, MoF and officials from the Ministry.
The Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) cordially invites you to participate in the joint sector reviews scheduled for 28 to 29 October 2024. This review will serve as the basis for the mid-term review (MTR) scheduled for 2025, which is essential for the GPE Board’s approval of the GPE 2030 country allocation. It will also allow us to make necessary adjustments to the partnership compact.
We have identified the technical working team for this joint sector review, which is enclosed for your reference. Following the completion of the review by the technical working group, we plan to present the findings to the Local Education Group (LEG) members on 29 October 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Therefore, we kindly look forward to your participation, as it will be crucial for the next cycle of grant allocation for Bhutan.
