A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on December 9, 2024, between Bangkok University and the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, aiming to strengthen ties and establish exchange programs in tourism and hospitality. As one of Thailand’s oldest and prestigious universities in this field, Bangkok University brings expertise in this field.
The partnership seeks to enhance the Royal Government of Bhutan’s socio-economic development by implementing a Skills Development Program, promoting skills and knowledge, and promoting cultural interchange. To address youth unemployment and create high-quality services, the Ministry and the University will launch international exchange programs, providing skills and knowledge to unemployed youths and enhancing the tourism and hospitality industry.
Key aspects of this partnership include:
Faculty Exchange: Bangkok University will provide technical experts to support the Royal Institute for Tourism and Hospitality (RITH)
Collaborative Seminars and Workshops: Joint events will facilitate knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices
Study Visits: Faculty and staff from both institutions will engage in study visits to learn from each other’s academic and administrative practices.
Scholarships for the faculty upgradation and students career development
This collaboration is expected to elevate the quality of services in the tourism and hospitality industry while promoting cultural understanding and academic cooperation between the two institutions.
